2 Pedestrians Killed On I-395 In Montville, IDs Released: State Police | Montville, CT Patch

MONTVILLE, CT — Two people were killed on I-395 in Montville late Friday as a 2014 Volkswagen Passat driven by a Rhode Island man struck two cars that had been stopped in the right shoulder, state police said.

State police said at 11:24 p.m. Friday, one car was disabled in the right shoulder of I-395 northbound. A second car was parked in front of the disabled vehicle, state police said.

"Vehicle #3 (the Passat) was traveling northbound in the right lane and crossed over the white fog line into the right shoulder and struck (the two vehicles parked in the right shoulder). Vehicle #3 also struck Pedestrian #1 and Pedestrian #2," state police wrote in its accident summary. "Vehicle #3 then struck the metal beam guardrail in the right shoulder before coming to a final rest in the right shoulder."

"As a result of the collision of Vehicle #3 and Vehicle #1, Vehicle #1 struck Vehicle #2 from the rear and struck Passenger #3 and Passenger #4," state police said.

Two pedestrians, Jamie Krajewski, 33, of Norwich, and Tyshon Ozzie Harper, 17, of Norwich, were pronounced dead at the scene. Four others involved in the accident reported injuries, state police said.
