Manatee County - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after a motorcycle accident in Manatee County On Friday Afternoon.

According to the report by the FHP, the fatal crash began as a 19-year-old man from Parrish Florida was driving his motorcycle Southbound on I-75 occupying the inside travel lane approaching Moccasin Wallow Road.

At 3:20 A.M. The motorcycle was traveling above the posted speed limit when the man from Parrish lost control of his motorcycle and entered the median side of the roadway.

The motorcycle struck the guardrail/ cable-barrier and the driver was separated from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle came to a final rest within the grassy median and was pronounced deceased on-scene by Manatee County EMS.

The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate this crash.
