In Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, passive solar energy greenhouse are under construction. The total land covers 13900sqm, and the greenhouse area is 70434 sqm.
The passive solar energy greenhouses are the new design and patent of Beijing Kingpeng International Hi-Tech Corporation. This kind of greenhouse consumes less energy in heating because it makes good use of the solar heat.
"The reason why we call it new design is to compare with the traditional passive solar energy greenhouse which is very popular in China, especially in North cold regions", said Mr. Li, the site manager of Kingpeng. "The traditional ones use concrete or compacted soil as the back wall, while the new design replace the concrete and soil with a kind of thermal blanket specially used in greenhouse."
The greenhouses adopt galvanized steel structure, PO film, mechnical thermal blanket, ventilation and irrigation, etc.
"The greenhouse are planned to be completed in mid of July, 2022 with the help of the operation trolleys and other advanced machines." Mr. Li, concluded.
