PARADISE, N.L. — The female driver of a car sustained minor injuries after her car struck two guardrails on the Trans-Canada Highway near Paradise late Thursday night.

Reports from the scene indicate her westbound car hydroplaned, crashed into the median guardrail and then careened across the highway into a second guardrail.

The car sustained extensive damage in the incident.

Roads were wet with rain-filled ruts in the area.
