Boston College football started week three of its fall camp Wednesday morning. The Eagles kept their practice session inside Fish Field House for the duration and spent a large part of the latter part of the morning working on situational football.
Notes: Phil Jurkovec to completed the first big play of the day down the middle to Lewis Bond… Emmett Morehead evaded a sack and found running back Cam Barfield for 25-yard catch-and-run… Jurkovec hooked up with Zay Flowers for a 45-yard touchdown… Jurkovec also had success expanding the depth of the team's tight end group with completions to Hans Lillis and Charlie Gordinier down the seam for 20-plus yards to enter the red zone… late team periods featured a Bryce Steele TFL and Jalon Williams PBU… Barfield executed a cutback touchdown run… Alec Sinkfield scored a touchdown run powering through the teeth of the line… Marcus Valdez picked up a third-and-goal sack.
2-Minute Drill: In the first situation, the defense was up seven and forced a turnover on downs… on 2nd-and-goal for the twos, Morehead fired a ball to Dante Reynolds for a touchdown… Valdez and the defensive line recorded back-to-back sacks on the first team.
Final play: The offense went for two and the win when trailing by one… Flowers caught a pass from Jurkovec short of end zone, but burst through the defense to convert the try.
